Holiday Lights and Festive sights - 2011
“Holiday Lights and Festive Sights” launches the holiday season in Mission in early-December. This event is held on a Friday evening, and features several hours of activities and events for the young and old alike. Our event is held in the Downtown Mission District along Johnson Drive.
The family-friendly event includes:
- A visit from Santa and Mrs. Claus (Santa and his Cyber Sleigh)
- A musical performance of children’s music and holiday carols
- The Mayor’s holiday tree and street lighting
- Holiday activities for the kids - coloring books, holiday ornaments to make and and cookies decorating to decorate
* Children’s activities will be located inside the Plumber's Friend store at the northeast corner of Johnson Dirve and Woodson. - Stuffed toy/teddy bear tree for the kids
- Free s’mores and hot chocolate around the fire pits
- Food vendor - hot dogs and a drink for $3.00
- A special display of musical fireworks will add to the holiday evening.
