Important Note - New Date for Carnival

Due to a double booking, the annual Carnival normally held concurrently with our annual Spirit of Mission Days will be held one week later this year. The new date for the Carnival will be:

Thursday, May 12th through Sunday, May 15th.

Spirit of Mission Days 2011

Come join us May 5th through May 8th for Spirit of Mission Days 2011! In the tradition of past years the 2011 "Spirit of Mission Days event will be an event filled with music, food and family fun.

This year we will also be celebrating the City of Mission's 60th Anniversary!

As in the past, this year's event will feature a parade, bands for your entertainment, vendors and more.

We'll start Saturday's events with a pancake breakfast provided by the Shawnee Mission Rotary Club. The parade will start at 11:00 on Johnson Drive between Beverly and Nall streets. The carnival starts at noon in the parking lot of the Sylvester Powell, Jr. Community Center.
