Spirit of Mission Days

 

Spirit of Mission Days in Mission, Kansas - May 7th and 8th, 2010Each year, in early-May, the City of Mission and the Mission Convention and Visitors Bureau celebrate the spirit of our City with an event filled with music, food and family fun. This event starts on Friday afternoon and runs through Saturday evening, giving ample time for everyone to enjoy our community, and what it has to offer.

The annual "Spirit of Mission Days" inlcude a carnival, a parade through downtown Mission, multiple bands for entertain, numerous vendor booths and more. The event begins on Friday evening with the carnival as well as local high school bands. Saturday morning features a pancake breakfast provided by the Shawnee Mission Rotary Club, followed by a parade through downtown Mission. Saturday evening entertainment is provided by some of the best bands and musical groups that the Kansas City area has to offer.

Our "Spirit of Mission Days" events are held on the grounds of the City of Mission's Sylvester Powell, Jr. Community Center at 6200 Martway in Mission.
