Chairs for Charity...

In 2008 the Arts and Eats Festival featured rain barrels painted by area organizations. These barrels were auctioned off to the highest bidders and the money given back to the groups that spent so many hours painting them.

This year Shawnee Mission North High School, Rushton Elementary Grade School, individuals and area scout troops will be painting chairs!!! Yes, chairs! So, if you have any chairs you would like to donate, please give me a call, 913-671- 8564. Wooden chairs only, please, and in fairly good condition. The students get to use their talents while helping put money into their school accounts for trips.

If you don’t have any chairs, but would like to help defray the cost of repairs to the chairs - that would be great. Or better yet, gather your employees, order a pizza and paint a chair. If you don’t have a chair, call and we will reserve as many as you would like with the proceeds going to your charity.
