Spirit of Mission Days seeks floats for May 10 community parade,
Mission, KS (March 17, 2008): The Mission Business Development Committee (MBDC) is seeking floats for their “Spirit of Mission Days” parade, scheduled for Saturday morning, May 10, 2008, according to Suzie Gibbs, Chairman MBDC.
Organizations, families, youth groups, schools, and bands are encouraged to participate in the community-focused parade. There is no charge to have a float, and awards will be presented to outstanding entries. The 2008 Spirit of Mission Days is scheduled for Friday evening, May 9, and Saturday May 10, 2008. The event will be filled with music, food and family fun. It will feature a carnival, parade, pancake breakfast, bike rodeo for the kids, and a band for Friday evening entertainment. Information can be found on-line at www.mbdcks.org.
The Mission Business Development Committee (MBDC) was established in August 2003, by the City of Mission, Kansas to assist in the revitalization and redevelopment of the Mission business district. Responsibilities of the committee include development and administration of investment and revitalization programs for this area.
