Holiday Lights and Festive Sights Event Scheduled
for Friday Evening, December 5 in Mission
Mission, KAN (October 21, 2008): Santa Claus will be arriving in Mission, Kansas to the delight of anxiously awaiting children as a part of the annual “Holiday Lights and Festive Sights” event, according to Suzie Gibbs, Chair of the Mission Business Development Council, the organization that organizes the event. Scheduled for Friday evening, December 5th, and set on Johnson Drive, between Woodson and Beverly, Holiday Lights and Festive Sights is a family-friendly event beginning at 5:30 p.m. and also including the Dino O’Dell Interactive Children’s Show, free S’mores, tree lighting ceremony, street vendors, and face painting. The Mission Business Development Committee (MBDC) was established in August 2003 by the City of Mission, Kansas to assist in the revitalization and redevelopment of the Mission business district. Responsibilities of the committee include development and administration of investment and revitalization programs for this area.
