Spirit of Mission Days Seeking Floats for Community Parade Saturday Morning, May 9
Mission, KS (March 4, 2009): The Mission Convention and Visitors Bureau (MCVB), formerly the Mission Business Development Committee, is seeking floats for their “Spirit of Mission Days” parade scheduled for Saturday morning, May 9, 2009, according to Suzie Gibbs, MCVB Chairman.
Organizations, families, youth groups, schools, and bands are encouraged to participate in the community-focused parade. There is no charge to have a float. For a float application, go online to www.MissionCVB.org or contact Suzie Gibbs, MBDC Chair, (913) 671-8564.
Spirit of Mission Days is scheduled for May 7 through May 10, 2009. The event includes music, food, and family fun. It will feature a parade, pancake breakfast, children’s activities, carnival and entertainment. Information can be found on-line at www.MissionCVB.org.
The Mission Convention and Visitors Bureau (MCVB), formerly the Mission Business Development Committee, was established in August 2003 by the City of Mission, Kansas to assist in the revitalization and redevelopment of the Mission business district. Responsibilities of the committee include development and administration of investment and revitalization programs for this area.
