Congratulations on 50 years in Mission 1958-2008
Joe Dasta and partners opened Mission Bowl’s doors in June 1958 when Mission Shopping Center was an outside Shopping Mall. The signs at Mission Bowl then read “24 lanes of airconditioned bowling alleys”. Bought in 1998 by Joe’s daughter Beverly, granddaughter Cynthia, and grandson John (along with their spouses) there have many changes in the bowling world. Extensive remodeling including a new computer system, new furniture, flooring, updated snack bar, and the addition of a beautiful 18-hole miniature golf course have made Mission Bowl truly a family center.
April 18th, Mission Bowl will close their doors – BUT only for 30 days when they will reopen on May 9th with new Brunswick GSX machines, ready to celebrate their 50 years in Mission! The O’Donnell Family feel like they have a lot to celebrate and want to share it with the City of Mission and their loyal and long time friends. One of the best compliments you can have is when your 94-year-old senior bowler tells you, “The last 10 years here at Mission Bowl have been the happiest years of my life.” That’s something to celebrate!
You are invited to stop by, bowl a lane, or just reminisce. Beverly and family would love to hear your stories about Mission Bowl. Congratulations to Mission Bowl!
